It's the most wonderful time of the year!

This weekend has been busy. Getting ready for Christmas has always been one of my most favorite things. I have so many memories of this time of year growing up and it is so fun to start our own family traditions with Mallory and make memories of our own. She was such a good helper with the baking and looked like the sweetest little Christmas package today and Church with her big bow and all. We love this little girl so much! She truly is our Christmas gift this year. Children bring so much joy we can't believe we ever lived without her. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Working Women!

Wednesday was mine and Mallory's last day at work. She was such a good "WIC baby". Although we are both really excited to have more time together, we were sad to say goodbye to everyone. We have been so blessed for me to have this job. I loved what I did, I learned all about infant and child nutrition which has been very handy, and I was able to take my baby to work with me! I know this was the perfect job for us during this phase in our life. I am truly sad to say I am finished but sooo thrilled to stay home with Malli for a while. Everyone gave us a nice goodbye party and little goodbye gifts (probably more for Mallory than me). We are so grateful for the wonderful people we have in our lives. I think she really became attached to everyone there and I hope she doesn't start missing the place, cause we aren't going back! Here are a few pictures of our last day at the ol' office.

My first taste

We finally broke down and started rice cereal. I have been wanting to wait until she was 6 months to the day since that is what I teach as the new recommendation at WIC but she seemed soooo ready. Poor girl was salivating every time she watched us eat.
We have so much fun feeding this little fireball. She gets so wound up, starts flapping her arms, spinning her angles, grunting for more, grabbing the spoon from us and gulps it down. Needless to say, she is so ready for something new in her life ;)You would think we had starved the poor girl by the way she goes after this yucky stuff.
Mallory is so much fun. We can't wait to see what she will do next. Today at church I was in the foyer with her and there was a little 2 year old boy out there running and jumping around. Mallory found this quite humorous and laughed hysterically at this little boy for over 20 minutes. Her laugh was louder than I had ever heard. She was seriously busting a gut laughing and could hardly took a breath. I was crying because I was laughing so hard just watching her laugh. I love how children have no worries, live each day as it comes, live life to the fullest, and need their mamas! Being a Mom is the best!
Countdown... 3 more days of work :)

One quick tangent...
Heck with this "new" stuff. I want my "old" stuff. We got a new computer... now it is not compatible with our webcam. I can't attach photos (only files) to emails, and our new camera program is not compatible with the computer either. Then, we got a new TV, and of course, our lovely bunny ears pick up less channels than before! I spent 1 hour Tuesday night with Porter running cords through the house, around our nativity scene, out the door, up on our lamp, etc, trying to get our bunny ears to pick up the Biggest Loser Finally. Oh, and another thing.. we bought a new camera just before having Mallory and because it has more megapixels all the cute videos I record on it (like the one of her eating cereal) is too large of a file to attach to email or the blog, so what good is it?
So, I want my old stuff back! It at least works!
I will stop complaining, life is good :)

Relief!!! at last

I QUIT!!! (my job)

These past four months have been a doosy...

Porter in his Senior year at ASU taking 16 credits
Porter working cleaning pools
Domini (and Mallory) working full time at WIC
Domini taking an Nutrition course
New baby
Church callings
Family events
Moved to a new house
Holidays
3 baby blessings

Dispite being so busy we have had so much fun and made so many memories. We couldn't have made it without all of the support we have recieved.
We have had a lot of help from family and friends to get through this busy and fun time in our lives. Thank you!

Oh, did I mention... I PUT IN MY 2 Week NOTICE At MY JOB TODAY!!!!! I still can not believe it. I feel so relieved!!! It has been challenging working with a newborn. As Mallory got older I could tell it was getting hard on her. We felt it was time for me to quit and I finally got the nerve today to do it. I know I will miss my job, but I am so excited for this special time with my sweet baby girl. It is scary quitting a job in this economy but we know things will work out. The Lord is always taking care of us.

We really enjoyed a relaxing weekend. I don't think we have ever been so excited for Thanksgiving break. It was much needed.

Firsts

I just love how little things we do with little Mallory is a first for her. We had so much fun dressing her up for her first Halloween. We had fun spending Halloween in Snowflake with family. Marti and Josh blessed their new baby, Brewer. It was such a special day for him. Oh, and we were able to help Mom and Dad (or Flo and Moe) get ready for their Halloween party. Dad was a Woman (Flo) and Mom was a Man (Moe). I have never laughed so hard. I love the pictures of Malli with her crazy grandparents.

Halloween Festivities Have Begun

(Thanks to Britt!) Britt and Aaron had us over for a fabulous Halloween Dinner on Monday night and for pumpkin carving. Here are some fun pictures of the big event. Brittney is amazing... every holiday is sure to be eventful with her around. Look how cute our dinner plates turned out. We had witch fingers, monster mashed potatoes, mummy dogs, squash, homemade root beer, worms in dirt and a mummy braid for desert. Thanks sis.
Then on Tuesday Mallory and I dressed up for our costume staff meeting at work. Malli was the cutest little ballerina and I was trying to be something, not sure what, either an 80s girl or a hippy. After leaving the house I realized my costume was exactly what the girl was wearing that pierced Mallory's ears on Saturday. ha. We had a good time though and can't wait for more fun to come this weekend in Snowflake.

Update

These past few weeks have been busy as usual. My Grandparents from Utah flew in to meet little Malli and my parents came down too. We had so much fun spending time together. Porter's parents and Gunner also came to stay with us on the weekend for Gunner's last appointment with the heart Dr.! Mallory had fun with a full agenda of events. This little one sure is used to being on the go.
Yesterday we decided to brave the ear piercing experience with Mallory. Poor baby. It was so sad to watch but she is doing good now and looks oh so cute!

Fun with the Fam

This past month we have been able to spend a lot of time with family dispite the fact that life has been super busy! For my birthday we spent weekend in Snowflake and all of Porter's siblings were visiting. It was fun to have all of the grandkids together. We finally got some pictures of all the Caldwell grandkids.
Then over confernce weekend we headed up to Vernon to camp with my family. With 6 adults and 3 babies with one small camper in cold and wind we were bound for an adventure. We sure did make memories. Babies crying and waking each other up, cold and windy weather, flat tires, and more. I love my family so much!!! We went home exhausted but it was worth it. Mallory was quite the camper, she did so good.

BABIES, BABIES, BABIES!

Yesterday Brewer Lynn DeWitt was born! Congrats to Marti, Josh and Cooper. We are so excited to have another little nephew. He is the last of the 4 babies born in our families this year and we are so grateful they are all here safe and sound and healthy! What a blessing it is to have all of these new little Spirits in our lives. We can't wait to meet Brewer!

Porter and Mallory's balancing act

Snoozing on her lazy day. She loves Saturdays, she can actually be at home. Ahhhh... a day home from the workplace.

Matching skeletons! Britt is already spoiling Malli. She bought all of the kids matching Halloween clothes. Thanks Auntie Britt. You are the best.

Home from church and relaxing. 11 weeks old.

Mallory's Baby Blessing Weekend

We had so much fun with our families these weekend. It was such a blessing to have so many of them here to support us on Mallory's blessing day. Her blessing was beautiful and we are so grateful for such a sweet little angel we have been blessed to have in our home. We love you so much Mallory!
