It feels like summer...

This weekend Monty and Kendra and their kids came to visit. It was lots of fun to spend time with them and hang out by the pool, go to the outdoor mall, and eat! It feels like summer!! (Not good for being pregnant though:))

30 weeks

Well, I am now 30 weeks and suddenly things have become so much more difficult. I can not count how many people a day ask me when I am due and tell me I look like I am about to pop when I still have 2 more months! I have had to retire the toe painting to Porter since I can't reach my feed. He did a really good job and actually enjoyed it. I teased him that maybe we have finally found the right field for him to go in to. I am starting to swell up with the summer heat. My rings barely fit and I gained 3 pounds suddenly in less than a week. My palms are splotchy red. I had my first Charly Horse on Thursday night and boy oh boy was that not fun. I woke up screaming for Porter to rub my leg, and of course he barely remembered it the next day when I was limping around all day from what felt like a pulled muscle. I am always hot and that is not a good thing for me since I already suffer from red cheeks. I have to pee all the time and it is sooo hard to get comfortable. Other than that, I am not complaining though. :) Strange to think I was running a marathon just 1 year ago. ha. Anyway, I really do love feeling our little girl move around in my belly. We are soooo excited to have her here and I know all of the aches and pains will be well worth it. Really, since getting over the sickness around 20 weeks this pregnancy has gone really well. We can't wait for her to come!!! :)

Getting showered!

The past 2 weeks have been crazy! Mom and Britt threw two amazing baby showers for me and our little girl on the way. Thank you so much Mom and Britt for all of your hard work, and thank you to everyone who came. We were truly spoiled far beyond what we needed. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends and for all of the support we have received. This whole baby thing seems so much more real and exciting now! We are sooooo excited for her to arrive in 2 ½ more months! Here are some fun pics.

What matters...

Today I heard the sad news that my cousin, Jason Palmer, was killed in a car accident up in Salt Lake City, Ut.  Porter and I were just watching the news stories about in on the internet and it just makes you feel sick to your stomach and so sad for his parents and siblings. Part of the article online said "Troopers say Clifton R. Tolboe, Trent Longhurst, Jonah Lor, Paul Castellanos and 26-year-old Jason Palmer were also in the BMW with Bishop. Palmer was thrown from the vehicle and died on scene. The other passengers in the BMW had various injuries ranging from serious to critical." It is sad that something so tragic can remind us what life is about and our purpose and to not stress over the little things but to enjoy one another while we can. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge and blessings of the gospel. I am so grateful for my family and friends and I love you all so much! We will keep you in our prayers Aunt Nancy and Uncle Glenn.
